The mink, Mustela vison, is the backbone of the fur industry and has been bred for a wide variety of colours on fur ranches.
This is by no means an exaustive representation of the spectrum of mink colours, merely a few that I am personally fond of.
Starting with the brown mink with the white chin and throat: He is the 'Wild Type', the colour most commonly found in the natural environment. The pale mink curled in front of him is called a 'Saphire' and the mink standing on his back legs is a ' Silverblue'.
Behind him, there is a pale mink with a stripe down his back. He is known as a 'astel Cross'. The mink at the very back is called a 'alamino'.
Solid black mink, known as 'Black Standard' are the most popular mink colour.
The solid brown mink below the black is a 'Scanglow' and the tan mink in front is called 'Topal'.
In the very middle is a spotted mink, a relatively uncommon type. They are known as the 'Jaguar Mink'.
The reclining mink at the front is simply known as 'White'.

Personally I really do not like fur farms. Mink are solitary animals and they find it very stressful to be confined within close proximity of thousands of other mink.
If you must wear fur, trapped fur is a much more humane option as the animal lived free until the day it died.

Within the fur industry, mink are often known colloquially as 'Fuzzytails'. A nice name for fated creatures.
